Behrouz Apartment is located in Jahanshahr, Karaj, and was conceived as an infill project built around an existing structural framework.
The project occupies a rectangular 480-square-meter site, where the constraints imposed by the existing structure and the irregular geometry resulting from it constituted the primary design challenges.
One of the project’s key issues was the building façade, which, due to the predetermined structural configuration, lacked sufficient geometric coherence and formal legibility. Consequently, the design strategy focused on redefining the relationship between the existing structure and the building envelope. To achieve this, an additional element was introduced as a “parasite” attached to the project—an object that, like a living organism, extends across different levels of the building, generating a new geometric order that helps regularize and unify the façade composition.
Beyond reorganizing the façade, this added element creates multiple terraces at various levels throughout the building. These semi-open spaces enhance the residential quality of the units while introducing diverse spatial layers and contributing to a dynamic architectural expression.
Simultaneously with the reconfiguration of the building envelope, the floor plans were redesigned. This process aimed to improve the geometric, formal, and functional qualities of the spaces, enhancing the internal organization while better responding to contemporary residential needs.
آپارتمان مسکونی بهروز جهانشهر
پروژه آپارتمان بهروز در جهانشهر کرج و در قالب یک پروژهی میان افزا(infill) با سازهی موجود تعریف شده است. پروژه در زمینی مستطیلشکل به مساحت ۴۸۰ متر مربع قرار دارد؛ محدودیتهای ناشی از سازهی موجود و هندسه نامنتظم حاصل از آن، چالشهای اصلی طراحی را رقم میزد.
مهمترین مسائل پروژه، مواجهه با نمایی بود که به واسطه ساختار از پیش تعیینشده ساختمان، از انسجام هندسی و خوانایی فرمی کافی برخوردار نبود. از این رو، راهبرد طراحی بر بازتعریف رابطه میان سازه موجود و پوسته بنا متمرکز شد. در این راستا، عنصری الحاقی به مثابه یک «parasite» به پروژه افزوده شد؛ شیءای که همانند یک موجود زنده در طبقات مختلف بر بدنه ساختمان گسترش یافته و با ایجاد یک نظام هندسی جدید، به قاعدهمند شدن ترکیب نما کمک میکند.
این عنصر الحاقی علاوه بر سازماندهی مجدد نما، امکان شکلگیری تراسهای متعدد در ترازهای مختلف را فراهم کرده است. حضور این فضاهای نیمهباز، ضمن افزایش کیفیت سکونتی واحدها، موجب ایجاد لایههای متنوع فضایی و شکلگیری نمایی پویا شده است.
همزمان با بازآفرینی پوسته ساختمان، پلانها نیز مورد بازطراحی قرار گرفتند. این فرآیند با هدف بهبود کیفیتهای هندسی، فرمی و عملکردی فضاها انجام شد تا ضمن ارتقای سازماندهی داخلی، پاسخگوی نیازهای سکونتی نیز باشد.
